Privacy Policy

This policy explains what tiok processes, how long it keeps it, and what it deliberately does not do with your data. It describes how the software actually behaves rather than repeating boilerplate.

The short version

• No accounts, no signup, no personal details of any kind.
• No behavioural tracking, no analytics, no ads, no third-party scripts.
• The files you download are never written to our disk.
• We do not sell, trade, or disclose your data to anyone.

What we process

Exactly three things, each of them necessary for the service to work.

1. 1Your IP address — used to enforce rate limits: normally 30 requests per 60 seconds, with a request that crops or trims a video counting as 5 because it costs far more processing power, and with downloading images one at a time from a photo post kept in its own separate budget of 90 requests per 60 seconds because a single post can hold up to 35 images. The address lives in the server's memory only, is never written to a database or file, and disappears on its own once you stop making requests.
2. 2The TikTok link you paste — used to fetch that post. The result (creator name, caption, media links) is cached for about 20 minutes so we do not hit TikTok repeatedly, then expires. That cache is not tied to you; anyone pasting the same link shares the same entry.
3. 3Technical error logs — when extraction fails, a short message is written to the server log so the operator can diagnose it. That message may include the failing post link, but nothing that identifies you.

What we never do

• We keep no download history — nothing in the system links a post to a user.
• We keep no copies of downloaded files. Media streams from TikTok’s servers straight to your device without touching our disk, not even temporarily.
• We use no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other tracker.
• We embed no scripts, fonts, or images from outside domains.
• We build no user profiles and do no browser fingerprinting.

Cookies and browser storage

We use no tracking or advertising cookies. Two things are stored in your browser, both purely to remember your preferences.

• A NEXT_LOCALE cookie that remembers the language you picked, so the site opens in it next time.
• One localStorage entry holding your light/dark theme choice. It stays on your device and is never sent to the server.

You can delete both by clearing site data in your browser, and nothing breaks if you do.

Your privacy towards TikTok

All media and images are fetched by our server, not by your browser. As a result TikTok’s servers only ever see our server’s IP address, never yours, and cannot set cookies in your browser through this page.

Retention periods

• Per-IP rate limit counters — held in memory, gone within minutes of you stopping, and wiped entirely whenever the server restarts.
• Post metadata cache — about 20 minutes.
• Generated download links — expire after 15 minutes and stop working.
• Error logs — depend on the server operator’s configuration, and should be kept no longer than needed to fix the problem.

Third parties

This site runs on a hosting provider’s servers, which may keep network-level connection logs as they normally do. Our server also contacts TikTok’s systems to fetch the post you asked for. We send nothing about you to any other third party.

Your rights

Because we hold nothing that identifies you, there is no personal data to access, correct, or erase. Every temporary value the system uses expires on the schedule listed above, and all of it is wiped whenever the server restarts.

Children

This service is not directed at children, and we collect no data from any particular group of users because we collect no identifying data at all.

Changes to this policy

If we change how data is processed, we will update this page and the date shown at the top.

No contact channel

This site has no email address, form, or any other way to reach the operator, and accepts no user requests. This policy is therefore the only information available to you when deciding whether to use the service.
